At Kindamindi we believe meal times should be a positive experience where children can establish healthy lifestyle habits. Within Kindamindi, we follow the "Get Up and Grow Health Eating" guidelines as set out by the Australian Government (Department of Health and Ageing). The goal of these healthy eating guidelines is to promote health by providing healthy food choices to children, while also encouraging children to eat to their own appetites, develop positive attitudes towards healthy foods and enjoy eating.
Kindamindi believes that “healthy eating in childhood minimises health risks and improves health through life” thus providing children with the best opportunity to grow and develop.
We support this by supplying Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. Here is an example of one of our rotational menus
Kindamindi caters for children with food intolerances, allergies or cultural preferences as we know your top priority is to ensure they can eat safely.
We supply water through-out all times of the day, we limit any saturated, salty or high sugar foods, we encourage children to help prepare and cook foods and we supply multicultural cooking experiences.
We also believe there should be a strong connection between homes and the centre, working with families is key to creating healthy eaters.
